Therapy

As a therapist, I offer warmth, humor, authentic feedback, along with a deep respect for the people with whom I work. My focus is on hearing what people want in their lives and then helping them develop the skills and confidence to get it.

I create a supportive place for individuals to identify strengths, expand coping strategies, better understand and tolerate emotions, and find meaning in life’s challenges. I also love helping people craft their own story that reflects their personal values, passions, and truth.

I specialize in women’s issues, relationships (including friendship), confidence and assertiveness, life transitions including postpartum adjustment, and making a good life when life doesn’t go to plan. Witnessing people tap into a stronger sense of self and really go for their dreams is powerful stuff.

In 2007, I obtained a Master’s Degree from the University of Minnesota in Educational Psychology-Counseling; after completing my training, I received the LPCC (Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor) license in 2009. For about ten years, I provided psychotherapy at a local non-profit with a wide variety of clients. In 2018, I started my own private practice in order to focus on what I do best. I work well with iconoclastic artists, powerhouse executives, and everything in-between. I draw from a variety of methods including mindfulness, narrative therapy, holistic wellness, and relationship skill building, to help adults take tangible steps to move towards their goals. Throughout the process, I create a comfortable environment through warmth, deep listening, and respect for all of my clients. My practice is LGBTQA+ affirming and welcoming to all.

As the parent of a child with multiple disabilities, I am passionate about helping others navigate the unexpected paths that life can present. I am also a nature enthusiast, advocate and cheerleader (without pompoms) for a more just and peaceful world. And for creativity in everyday life.

For more info, email me at emma@enadlertherapy and indicate your scheduling needs and a best number to contact you at for a free 15-20 minute phone conversation about what you want to address in therapy (note: email is not confidential). Or leave a confidential voicemail at (952) 476-2075.

If this is a direct referral, please indicate this in your inquiry. Please note that I am an out-of-network provider (I don’t work directly with insurance companies). I see clients in person in my Minneapolis office and also through telehealth. I can answer any questions that you have about the process.

Unfortunately, I cannot take on new clients who are actively suicidal or in frequent crisis. This is partly because I am a part-time practice, and not readily available for crisis intervention.

Details and policies:

I have an office at ModernWell, located at 2909 S Wayzata Blvd, Minneapolis, MN 55405.

Telehealth sessions are held remotely through an easy to use, HIPAA confidential telehealth video platform called Simple Practice. This offers you the opportunity to fit therapy into your schedule in an accessible way from your computer, phone or iPad. After many months of providing telehealth therapy, I’m pleased to be able to share that it works well. I often hear that it feels like being in a room together, yet without the drive time.

My practice is private pay; please contact me for my current rates. Some clients choose to use their out-of-network benefits as a way to get partial reimbursement for the cost of therapy. Please contact your insurance company for more information on your deductible and other details so that you know what to expect.

I accept personal check, cash, or credit. You can also pay using your HSA account and sometimes an FSA, depending on the scope of your account.
